WHY?

Because we couldn’t find what we are looking for in any other workshop out there. So we created one ourselves.

The play of light, shadows, layers, materials and century old history. We adore the magic and elegance of old Castles - more than a location, an artwork of architecture and interior design in itself. The elaborate details nourish and replenish our soul’s craving for beauty and we can’t help but think of truly elegant, timeless wedding celebrations taking place at a location like this. Each room feels like a lovingly crafted backdrop in itself, a scene worth preserving. A creative bubble, a retreat, a refresh and deeply nourishing quality time, great food, shared knowledge and new friendships, no stage and portfolio shoots that actually speak to potential clients.

IS THIS THE RIGHT WORKSHOP FOR ME?

It doesn't matter if you are just stepping into this industry or are already having an established business. All speakers will openly share their business models, their mistakes and advice, their stories and hearts to really connect with you, no matter your skill level or artistic style. The speakers themselves have been in the industry for very differing timespans and we believe that the more diverse of a group we are, the more we can learn from each other. As Oscar Castro once said - don’t compare your chapter 2 with someone’s chapter 20. And there will be people from all those different chapters helping each other to the next one.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

  • inspiring speakers - teaching, shooting and sharing openly during their presentations and workshop, but even more so as a part of the community

  • professionally styled photosessions to take home some next-level imagery that actually speaks to potential clients - depending on the weather indoor and/or outdoor

  • self-directed shooting sessions in small groups of 5-6 people, so you can get creative, put new knowledge into practice, and bring your own vision to life

  • Authentic castle as shooting location from Saturday to Wednesday at the Chateau de la Flocelliere. Crumbling stone walls and towers dating back to the 11th century will create one of our moody autumnal backdrops for our photographic adventures at this Chateau in the southeast of Nantes. With 200 year old trees, cedar and redwood, a river and a lake, the Chateau is set in 30 hectars of idyllic landscapes. For over 900 years, each era left it’s mark on this heritage and we cannot wait to immerse ourselves in its history and charme. Bringing our vision and creativity, being inspired by its textures, lights and shadows and becoming a part of its own impressive story.  Combined with the beautiful interiors, the Chateau de la Flocellière will be the heart and home for all our shared meals, shoots and late night talks with new friends from around the globe. We cannot wait to see what we‘ll collectively bring to life here and the treasured memories we will share forever.

  • Single bed sleeping - you’ll have shared rooms for 2-3 people but you will have a single bed for yourself

  • maximum amount of shared community time with outstanding peers - from breakfast til midnight. Because eating together, sharing personal stories or dying of laughter with some wine under the full moon; that is how lasting friendships form

  • no stage, no limits. Each speaker will share their content in the best way they can think of - leaving room for your questions, real dialogues and actual, concrete help with personal business challenges on an eye-to-eye level

  • Autumn’s colorful yet moody atmosphere to indulge in and play with as the backdrop for mystical imagery as well as the coziness of crackling fireplaces and woolen socks. Bring something warm and cozy. :)

  • Full vegetarian catering included - so nothing to worry about and no need to leave our creative bubble.
